Cat vs Kid

If you think that a cat is a preperation for having kids...

You're wrong!
Trust me, I figured this out quite recently.

Don't get me wrong, I love cats!
All adorable, soft and cute :]

But you might think again when you go out to the supermarket
and find your cat on the streets.
She goes out through the back and apparently goes all the way round...

You know how kids grow up and learn how to talk?
Well, that should be handy...

But a cat won't listen to your story about how dangerous it is on the streets!
They just walk away as soon as they want. Stubborn creatures...

They'll turn on you.

I'm not the most kid loving person but they seem really good right now.

On the other hand, kids smell, are sticky and make lots of noises!
Wait! Cats smell, make lots of noises too AND steal your food...

BUT! You wont run into kids on the street unwanted when you go for groceries.
You can take them with you to carry the groceries, or better...
Let THEM do the groceries!

So... Kids or Cats? What sounds better to you?
Well, if you have allergies; kids!
But if you really hate kids and prefer something more furry;
Go for a cat.

I wish it was only as easy as tapdancing on the high wire...
But hé, it's not!

Make your pick!

24 hours OFF

Sooooo.
It's not the 24 hours with... again!

It's 24 hours OFFline.

Challenge that most of us will find hard I believe.

My girlfriend got the challenge and put me on it with her.
So from 23-09-2013 18.00h till 24-09-2013 18.00h...

I will not be on:
Facebook, Email, Whatsapp, Internet, Twitter or Youtube!
or whatever got to do with internet!

But TV is not internet!! :D

Don't know how it's gonna be...
How many times do you have the urge to check FB or Email?

Luckily there are a lot of other things you can do, right?!
Like uhhm....

Yeah.

Maybe a new idea to crack my blog up?
Go play outside?
Read a book?
Finally do some homework?
Bake a great pie?
Or whatever you might think about...

What would you do if there was no internet for a day?
Internet isn't always that much fun!

Well, I have to log off now! Almost time.

I'm happy to receive a text from you! Or a letter...
Haha.

Hope to speak to you again....
Tomorrow!

Roofless for a night

Let's go without a roof for one night!
No not as a homeless... But "in" a hotelroom.

Now I see you thinking... A Hotel needs a roof!
Well not this one!

We stumbled on this cool concept and decided to try it out!
A night in an artistic outside hotelroom. Your pick what theme.
So we choose the Cuddle Bed.

We arrived there for the evening program. Not sure what to expect.
Everything around a church. There where a couple of bed out there.
But we didn't see any with teddy-bears or something like it.

The organisation was nowhere to be found but thanks to another visitor,
we stumbled on a performance and moved around the church for more.

Most special? Walking foil...

After all these performances they told us that a man will take us to our location.
Apparently, we where the only one at another location! Spooky.

So we waited.

We ended up in the backgarden of a Theatre that used to be a swimmingpool.
It was around 11pm when he showed us around the whole venue. Amazing!

And then... Our bed! Cuddly :]

Ofcourse the weather was amazing the past few days but not this night.
Luckily our host put up a plastic "roof" and gave a bottle of wine :]

It's a very cool concept for sure!
So maybe next year you can give it a try!?*

You can choose out of a list of interesting beds...
How about a bed of nails?
The flying carpet your thing?
Half moon or something smelly?
Or choose the rose in a bed of porcelain!

Not every bed is what you think...

There isn't a big warm Hotel welcome but the experience is cool.

England vs Scotland.

So I've been away on holiday!
And as I like to show you some of it, I will show you some pictures.

I went to London first, to top it of with more than a week of Edinburgh!
So what city is better?! Find out!

First stop: London!

Drank Mojito in Camden Town most of the nights.
That's probably why this tree seems blue...
Oh no, It's art!

We made our own shoe-art in the park :D

Music! Singing? At Covent Garden this group was "playing".
No really playing. They had fun doing something. haha.

Found a cool Foxy too!

And not to miss...A Telephone booth

What about this cool truck?
Worth a couple of point for London right?!

And there it is... A big red bus!
Hidden behind it is the Big Ben. Not so big ha?!

Now here it comes... Edinburgh!
Maybe you already know London and never seen Edinburgh.
Shame! Look at this.

THE Castle! A Beauty on a hill. (And also a Telephone booth!)
This amazing building, at least the contours of it...
A staircase! Cause you don't see those curly onces that much...
Ok this was weird. 15 pound honey they put extra protection on. Honey thieves here?
A little fury thing hanging under the bridge. Living on the edge!
BIG score! They got Foxes ;]
And how about these lamps? Awesome right! At one of the Fringe Festival venues.

Sooo that was my holiday! How was yours?
Wanna show some pictures? Do it here!

And make your pick! Is it London winning or Edinburgh? :]

Enjoy the last weeks of the summer!
Love,
Fox.

I'm not a writer.

No I'm not.

I enjoy writing my thoughts down now and then.
But I don't take weeks to write stuff. I don't even edit much.
I just go let the monkeys run and write, if it's ok. I'll share it with you.

I wanna be a writer, though...
I wanna be the type of person
that goes out with her notebook to great places.
Sits down at a nice tea room, alone,
and sink away in thoughts, words & writing.

I always want to go explore
and take little trips out of the blue.
But I can't. I can't even enjoy an evening alone.
I won't do stuff like that on my own.

"All Byyy myself, don't wanna beeee, aaaaaall by myself!"
Cheesy song that pops up in my head.

I don't know why I even have this blog... Ok maybe I do.
For myself? For you? For the fun?
I wish I had a million readers that liked, shared and commented... But why?

I won't get that. 'Cause I'm not a writer!
I don't produce perfect pieces of writing with amazing subjects.
It's just my whirl of thoughts. And you're reading it. Thnx ;]

Everybody longs for attention and appreciation... Maybe that's why!
In the hope that someone will read it. Enjoy it.
And one day say: "I really liked that piece of crap you wrote"

Well now... What I really get from it?

My thoughts on paper. My opinions in my own mind!
(Read Words On My Paper again)
And ofcourse lovely friends/followers who give appreciation.
I love those cool peeps! It gives me a reason to put things on here.

Maybe I just long for too much...
I can't get thousands of fans out ot nothing!
But dreaming about is sure feels good.

Maybe some day I will be a writer.

(And perhaps earn my bread with it, cause I won't with my study field)
Whoops! Dreaming again.

Wolves & Foxes!

So I read this article about The Wolves!
Guess most of the dutchies read it too. All over the news...

Apparently they where back in this crazy little country.
Since wolves are kind of the same spieces as Foxes.
I like them.

The thing is... There was a wolve. But it's been hit.
Ha makes me think of Gilmore Girls.

So the first wolve since 150 years in The Netherlands is gone.
Haha. What a story!

Now the paper blabbed on about how they can ensure it's a wolf.
But what stands out is that a lot of people are unhappy with it.

I know foxes aren't that welcome too near humans.
'Cause they eat and demolish everything.
I once saw a Fox in Edinburgh crossing the street. Wonderful creature!

Well, the wolves!
They gave two reasons why they won't get a big warm welcome.
First I can understand. Farmers who are afraid their animals will be eaten.
Pour sheeps.
But the second... Shocked my socks!
How wolves got a bad reputation because of the brothers Grimm.
Who painted them evil in all of their stories.
Big old grandmother of Red Riding Hood and everything.
Bwaah.

How sad, fairytales are real? People still believe so.
In the article an expert told us that they're actually quite sweet.
Just like spiders? But you still scream!?

Well wolves, Fox gives you a big welcome to the Netherlands!
Happy to had you here. :]

It's the season!

Watch out! Somethings coming, coming to your town...

Yes, summer!? It should be coming riiight? First of July.

How lovely, the sun, the warmth over your body.
Being free from school/work/everything.

But there's more to come!
Winning about how hot it is, you can't move. Sunburns
Hay fever in the air. Swollen, tearfull eyes, EVERYTHING.

Lots of icecreams and free time where you will eat, eat more and drink.
Sooo not only Christmas helps you gain weight, summers do too!

Stress of holiday things!
Deciding your place
Packing your bags
Getting to the airport
Finding the right queue
Not losing your bag
Etc.

And for us? Finding a catsitter!
Don't get me wrong, I love holiday.

Sitting on your bum. Eating, writing, sleeping, friends, drinks in the park.
Aaaahh relaxing!

Beautiful night skies! Counting the stars.

So who's leaving the country this summer?
And who's staying in, watching the rain?

Toast it!

Yes! Most interesting story, I got a Toaster!

Wish it would be like this one...

But I got a chrome one, boriiiing I know.

Can't believe I've done so long without.
It's fast, hot, tasty and Cool.

The only thing is...
When the toast pings ups, I jump up too. A little shock haha.

When I was living at my dad's we had a toaster that didn't PING.
But my dad used to make currant bread with butter on it. Jumm.

Today I made that for myself. :D
But I also burned one piece of bread already. Oops.

In England you always have to toast your bread in Hostels.
It's cheap and dry bread, really yukk.

But it doesn't matter what type of bread you have, toast makes it good!
And in England, fixed with some really salty butter. Healthy ha!?

My favourite is with nutella! Melted chocolat nomnomms

What about this guy:

WEIRD! Haha. Love him!

Let's toast it :D

More than sweets and chocolate!

It's just a normal sunday afternoon when a bunch of people shuffle in.
The mouth watering faces light up when they see all the delicious things.

At first sight it's a chocolate store but if you look further and walk to the back you can sit down too.

With 3 tables taken it's quiet but cosy and nice. There are only twelve tables to take.

It's a lovely and quiet ambience at Josephine. You can enjoy your moment.

The regular customer is Fien, the house cat.
She doesn't really like dogs but they are allowed.

Next to Fien, there are more regular customers,
you see the same people come in often.

A couple glances through the shopwindow and the coffee machine growls.

Looking for lunch, a cup of coffee or fresh tea, something sweet or a high tea...!?
You're at the right place @ Josephine Utrecht.

But also if you just want to take away something delicious or buy a present.
With the Bonbons you can't go wrong. Loads of flavours.

If you want something special, but still like Bonbons. Josephine has special Chocolate Bullets.
They are all the same shape but variate in colour and taste. They look amazing!

With special attention to the yellow/orange one. It's a Salty Caramel Bullet, my favourite.

While a man is reading his daily paper and two girls have a high tea a group of tourist walk in.
They love to take some sweets back home to their family and friends.

The most populair treat are the Macaroons. The shiny colours catch your eye.
In more than twenty different flavours!

Want to visit Josephine?! You'd better!

It's located at the Twijnstraat 7 in Utrecht.

Josephine is open every day from 11.00h - 18.00h.
Early Bird? On saturday the doors open at 9.00h in the morning.

Make sure you like The Josephine Facebook page.

I hope to see you around there soon!

Roller Derby in a song!

So you have songs for Roller Derby.

The best known for me is Roller Derby Saved My Soul.
Catchy tune!

But how much fun is it to MAKE a song Roller Derby prove?

Like: Don't you wish your Girlfriend could BLOCK like me!?

Or how about "PACK it up and do it again!"
"From the front to the middle to the back to the end"

And P!nk her wisdome
"You gotta get up and try, try, try!"

And for the amazing jammers:

"Oh doubt in the girl by your side
She's feeding your pride
As you go for a ride
Down the STAR MILE"

"Don't you know PACK it up, we've got to PACK it up!"
Yeah!

"They see me Rollin', they hatin'!"
"Tryin' to catch me ridin' dirty"

Ofcourse we're Born For This!
"Everybody JAMS like it’s the last JAM you will ever PLAY"
"Tell me, tell me, do you feel the pressure now?"

Well... It's my favourite game!

So tell me, what songs can you make Derby proof?
Would really love to expand this songlist.
So SHOOT here

Derby Love,
Physious Fox.
